MIAMI — Latin artist Jalil Lopez is stepping into a bold new era with the release of his seven-track EP Metamorfosis, arriving September 5, 2025, via Redline Media Group (RMG). The Newark-born singer-songwriter, known for his blend of Bachata, soul, and hip hop, describes the project as a deeply personal journey through grief, renewal, and transformation.
“This project is a reflection of everything I’ve lived through — what nearly broke me, what and who brought me back, and how I’ve grown through it all,” Lopez said. “It’s my truth, and I hope it connects with fans all around the world in unique ways.”
A New Creative High
The EP features collaborations with acclaimed Latin producers, including Andres Rios (2024 Latin Grammy Winner for Song of the Year), Jorge Milano, Lil’ Genuiz, and Alejandro “Mosty” Patiño, a four-time Latin Grammy winner. Together, they help Lopez fuse the emotional richness of classic Bachata with urban grit and contemporary rhythms.
The tracklist explores themes of heartbreak, redemption, and rediscovery, anchored by Lopez’s raw storytelling and vulnerability. A bonus track adds a high-energy edge to the project, underscoring its theme of transformation.
Building on Viral Momentum
Lopez enters this chapter following the viral success of singles such as “No Vas a Encontrar” featuring RKM, “La Culpable,” and “Borracho y Loco.” Earlier in his career, he gained recognition with hits like “Princesa Mía” and “Tu Primer Amor,” alongside collaborations with international stars Rick Ross and DJ Khaled.
Metamorfosis reflects both artistic evolution and personal resilience, symbolizing Lopez’s growth through hardship and his renewed purpose as a performer. The EP positions him as one of the emerging voices reshaping the sound of Latin music with authenticity and emotional depth.
