In a statement issued through his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, the governor noted that Omodara remained one of the pillars upon which the All Progressives Congress built its political structure in Ekiti.
He described the deceased as a leader who consistently placed the collective interest of the people above personal ambition, earning admiration across political divides.
According to the governor, Omodara’s integrity, humility and dedication made him a trusted adviser whose opinions carried significant weight among party leaders and government officials.
Oyebanji added that the state had lost one of its finest political figures whose experience and wisdom would be difficult to replace.

The governor reflected on Omodara’s contributions during his tenure as chairman of the defunct Ekiti Central Local Government, which covered Ado and Ifelodun/Ifaki Local Government Areas before the creation of additional councils.
