The Soldiers nab suspected terrorist headline became reality on Monday after Nigerian troops arrested a foreign national suspected of terrorism. The arrest happened in Katarko, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State, during a coordinated operation under Operation Hadin Kai.
According to sources, the man’s inability to speak any Nigerian language raised red flags. Troops from 120 Task Force Battalion detained him while trying to breach a military perimeter. Authorities are now investigating potential links to transnational terrorist networks.
