ZHENGZHOU, China — Yutong Bus, the Chinese electric bus manufacturer listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SHA: 600066), has launched Link+, its next-generation Internet of Vehicles (IoV) platform. The system builds on the company’s earlier Vehicle+ platform, delivering an AI-powered, data-driven solution to enhance fleet operations, safety, and energy efficiency.
Positioned as a one-stop service, Yutong Bus Link+ integrates monitoring, intelligent management, and efficiency services into a single platform. The system provides 24/7 lifecycle management, helping operators cut costs, improve safety, and optimize performance.
Smart Monitoring and Risk Prevention
The platform monitors vehicle locations, real-time status, and over 100 components, while conducting one-minute intelligent inspections to detect risks before they escalate. These predictive capabilities allow operators to reduce downtime and ensure safer fleet operations.
Intelligent Management Tools
Geo-fencing technology enables smart speed limits in specific zones, while remote air conditioning controls pre-adjust cabin temperatures. Link+ also schedules off-peak charging automatically, lowering electricity costs. Through advanced data analysis, operators can identify high energy consumption patterns and apply corrective strategies.
Efficiency Services and AI Assistance
Yutong’s AI assistant diagnoses faults and provides step-by-step repair guidance. Fleet managers gain access to over 480,000 OEM parts with transparent ordering and live shipment tracking. Repairs can be booked in one click, connecting operators directly to certified engineers.
Case Study: VOY Santiago in Chile
Public transport operator VOY Santiago SpA, which manages 214 Yutong new energy buses, reported strong results after adopting Link+. Facing rapid brake system wear on Chile’s mountainous roads, the operator cut inspection times from 4–5 days to just 10 minutes by using real-time map monitoring.
Energy efficiency also improved. By standardizing air conditioning at 22°C and 50% fan speed, VOY reduced daily energy use by 1,848 kWh. With electricity priced at 127 Chilean pesos per kWh, the adjustment translates to annual savings of 49.31 million Chilean pesos during peak cooling seasons.
Security and Compliance
Yutong emphasized its compliance with global data protection standards. The company’s Information Security Management System holds ISO 27001 and 27701 certifications, while its Vehicle Cyber Security Management System is EU-certified. Several bus models also meet R155 VTA standards for information security.
By combining AI, big data, and strict cybersecurity measures, Yutong Bus Link+ aims to deliver long-term operational value for global fleet operators.
