In a strong show of commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid, the youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State has presented a N100 million cheque to Governor Ahmed Ododo for the purchase of Tinubu’s presidential re-election nomination form. The presentation, which took place at the Youths Endorsement Rally held at the Muhammadu Buhari Square in Lokoja, Kogi State, on Sunday, marks a significant step in securing the President’s re-election ahead of the 2027 elections.
Youth Support for Tinubu’s 2027 Campaign
The President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Babangida Onimisi, led the delegation of youths from across Kogi State who presented the cheque to Governor Ododo. In his address, Onimisi stated that the decision to present the N100 million was a unified gesture of endorsement from Nigerian youths for President Tinubu’s re-election. The NYCN President emphasized that the funds would go directly toward securing the nomination form, signaling the youth’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that President Tinubu continues his leadership into a second term.

Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, the Kogi APC Chairman, also spoke at the rally, expressing his admiration for the strong support shown by the youths. Bello described President Tinubu as a transformative leader who has significantly impacted Nigeria’s economy, stating that Tinubu’s leadership has set the country on the path to economic recovery and growth.

The Youth and Sports Commissioner for Kogi State, Mr. Monday Anyebe, also delivered an important message to the youth. He emphasized that the task ahead of them is critical for the success of Nigeria and Kogi State. Anyebe called on the youth to work together for the re-election of President Tinubu and the continued success of Governor Ododo, underscoring the importance of unity and collective effort in achieving these goals.
“Our future is in our hands, and it is up to us to ensure that we support the re-election of President Tinubu and the continued success of Governor Ododo,” Anyebe said. “We must put aside ego-driven politics and focus on what’s best for Nigeria and Kogi State.”
