December 13, 2025

The Nigerian Army has successfully graduated 3,439 recruits after six months of intensive training at the Nigerian Army Depot in Zaria. These recruits, part of the 89 Regular Recruit Intake, are now ready for deployment across Nigeria. Their training has strengthened their ability to face the country’s security challenges and protect its borders.

Strengthening the Army’s Manpower

Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, the Chief of Army Staff, addressed the recruits during the Passing Out Parade. He emphasized loyalty, discipline, and professionalism. He explained that this graduation significantly contributes to strengthening the Army’s manpower. Now that their training is complete, these soldiers are ready to face security threats in different parts of Nigeria. They will play a crucial role in maintaining peace and stability across the nation.

Expanding the Nigerian Army’s Capabilities

The Nigerian Army is expanding rapidly, focusing on building a strong, combat-ready force. Earlier this year, 6,195 recruits from the 88 Regular Recruit Intake also graduated. This ongoing effort highlights the Army’s commitment to building a capable military. With the addition of 3,439 new recruits, the Army is better prepared to confront security challenges both domestically and internationally. These soldiers are now fully equipped to defend the nation from rising threats like insurgency and terrorism.

A Stronger Force for National Security

Colonel Appolonia Anele, the Nigerian Army spokesperson, stated that the new recruits would enhance the Army’s ability to respond to emerging threats. With this expanded force, the Army will be better equipped to handle national security concerns. These new soldiers are now ready to protect Nigeria’s citizens and ensure the country’s safety.

The Nigerian Army continues to prioritize the safety and security of the nation. The new recruits will contribute significantly to the Army’s mission of maintaining peace and protecting Nigeria’s sovereignty. Their successful integration into the Army is a crucial step in adapting to evolving security challenges.
